This is one of the most spectacular scenes of the whole park. It is not, strictly speaking, in the "old forest" category at all – yet – but will be one day! This is an area where a fierce forest fire burned down everything in 1855. Since then new pine trees have grown to the site, now aged 140-150 years!

Tämä on vuoden 1855 metsäpalon jäljiltä syntynyt “uusi” metsä. Puut ovat 140-150 vuoden ikäisiä, eivätkä siinä mielessä täytä vanhan metsän tunnusmerkistöä. Ajan myötä karu kasvumaa saattaa kasvattaa tämänkin metsikön kilpikaarnaiseksi ikihongikoksi, mutta monta auringonkiertoa vielä tarvitaan... .
